LAYTON — A large regional retailer has initiated steps to build an 85,000-square-foot grocery store on the city’s south side, which officials hope will spur development at one of Layton’s gateways.
Bob Stevenson, a Davis County commissioner and former Layton mayor and council member, said “This has been a team effort, the planning commission, the city council and staff. Everybody has had a hand in making this come to fruition. We feel opening this up and getting it going will open the other side of the freeway.”
